“Puak umno godam blog dan fitnah! (Umno tribe hacked blog and defame!)” Anwar posted in his Twitter account @anwaribrahim early this morning, in reply to another user on the social microblogging site identified as @anuarazizi who wanted to know if the apology in the special message was true.
The allegedly defamatory post by anonymous hackers has since been removed from Anwar’s blog.
Woz is a little old-fashioned geek. And I say that in a positive way. Old-fashioned geeks, the folks who kick-started the computer revolution in 70s, are different compared to the generation brought up on Facebook and Twitter. These people value their private information and keep it close to their heart. They also value open systems, machines on which they have control, and have a healthy disregard for any company that aims to ‘simplify’ a gadget or digital service by taking away the control from a user. What Woz says about cloud computing is very true. The risk is real.

Corrie’s family had accused Israel of intentionally and unlawfully killing their 23-year-old daughter, launching a civil case in the northern Israeli city of Haifa after a military investigation had cleared the army of wrong-doing.
In a ruling read out to the court, judge Oded Gershon called Corrie’s death a “regrettable accident”, but said the state was not responsible because the incident had occurred during what he termed a war-time situation.
At the time of her death, during a Palestinian uprising, Corrie was protesting against Israel’s demolition of Palestinian homes in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
“I reject the suit,” the judge said. “There is no justification to demand the state pay any damages.”
He added that the soldiers had done their utmost to keep people away from the site. “She (Corrie) did not distance herself from the area, as any thinking person would have done.”
Corrie’s death made her a symbol of the uprising, and while her family battled through the courts to establish who was responsible for her killing, her story was dramatized on stage in a dozen countries and told in the book “Let Me Stand Alone.”
“I am hurt,” Corrie’s mother, Cindy, told reporters after the verdict was read.
Few Israelis showed much sympathy for Corrie’s death, which took place at the height of the uprising in which thousands of Palestinians were killed and hundreds of Israelis died in suicide bombings.
Corrie came from Olympia, Wash., and was a volunteer with the pro-Palestinian International Solidarity Movement.
Senior U.S. officials criticized the original military investigation into the case, saying it had been neither thorough nor credible. But the judge said the inquiry had been appropriate and pinned no blame on the army. (Writing by Crispian Balmer, Editing by Jeffrey Heller)
|An Israeli court has ruled in a civil case that the Israel army was not at fault in the bulldozer death of American pro-Palestinian activist Rachel Corrie nearly 10 years ago.
Corrie was 23 years old when she went to the town of Rafah in the Gaza Strip as part of a group of activists from the International Solidarity Movement (ISM).
They were acting as human shields to try to stop the Israeli army demolishing Palestinian homes and clearing land around Rafah.
“I reached the conclusion that there was no negligence on the part of the bulldozer driver,” Judge Oded Gershon said, reading out his verdict on Tuesday at the Haifa District Court in northern Israel.
“I reject the suit. There is no justification to demand the state pay any damages.”
“We are, of course, deeply saddened and deeply troubled by what we heard today from Judge Oded Gershon.”

We live in a rotten country where all these cronies monopolized the everyday businesses, with rotten worst- than- 3rd world delivery system AND they are demanding rakyat to pay 1st class fees.
Phone services sucks especially recent years, God knows why. You will find yours calls comes with interruption or unclear conversation all the time. Got cutt off easily. Sometimes can even hear someone else voice on the phone. Our bill is more expensive than other countries. Singapore need zero registration fees, sometimes they even give you a new handphone. In Malaysia, the ask you to fly kite. You want you sign and pay, don’t want you use a milk can to talk.
Cars. While your cars is subject to farking serious wear and tear problems with those rotten 3rd world streets, potholes, uneven roads etc. Consumption of fuel is dammmm high coz we continue to be stucked in the traffic. Parking in towns are hard to find, so either you pay for the crazy parking fees or try your luck if you are in an emergency by parking your car at a not-designated parking area. At one’s home, many continue to struggle everyday trying to get a parking when coming home from work especially those with more than 1 car in the family EVEN in terrace houses owners.
Houses are expensive and the quality sucks big time!! Almost all housebuyers comes out frustrated with the unit they bought. Always shortchanged. What to do? Go to the court with all those redtapes, kautim-kautim? You pay all your lifetime savings and then you are most likely to get these blardy houses. The worst part is the authorities continue approving projects by those rogue developers. Take the developer Mayland for example. You see fantastic advertisements, nice photos, wonderful brochures, great taglines when they are selling but hold your horses….. Farking poor condominiums, irresponsible developer. The Hong Kong owner a Dato smilling all the way to the bank and thinks, stupid Malaysians, corrupted govt…easy to duped.
Our water is so dirty. Nowadays every house uses a water filter. Try take off the cover and see the dirt in the filter. You might not have appetites to eat for the rest of the day.
Electricity. You realize the bill has gone up extremely high since 2 years back. And we continue getting blackouts in some areas.
Food – sugar, bread, fast food chains, junk food and all those commercialize food stuff. Look at it carefully. What is the difference 10-15 years ago and now? Has the quality drops. The thickness of the bread shrinked. The content lessen. The taste deterioted. But we pay much higher, more than the inflation rate tells us.
There you go. Malaysia Boleh. Is anything I said NOT TRUE???? I didn’t even started on the police, the govt, the ministries, the court, the MACC. Stand up la Malaysians, fight for our rights!!!!
